We’re in the midst of move-in week, when college students from near and far descend upon Boston with their belongings in tow, lugging their IKEA furniture up flights of stairs as they attempt to settle into dorms and apartments before classes start.

In order to accommodate the students moving into (and out of) the city, Boston officials announced temporary parking restrictions will be in place on certain streets in Allston, Fenway, Mission Hill, and Roxbury, many through Monday, Sept. 2.

“Students bring so much life to our City, and we are thrilled to welcome them this week,” Mayor Michelle Wu said in a statement Thursday.

City officials are encouraging people to pay attention to signs posted in neighborhoods where parking restrictions will be in effect. To see what neighborhoods and which streets are impacted, check out the list below.

BOSTON UNIVERSITY

Parking restrictions will be in place from Saturday, Aug. 31-Sunday, Sept. 1 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the following streets:

  • Pratt Street (even side) from Linden Street to Ashford Street.
  • Ashford Street (even side) from Linden Street to Malvern Street.
  • Gardner Street (even side) from Linden Street to Malvern Street.
  • Linden Street (even side) from Gardner Street to Pratt Street.
  • Brighton Avenue (even side) from Linden Street to Reedsdale Street.
  • Highgate Street (even side) from Cambridge Street to Farrington Street.
  • Farrington Street (even side) in front of #14 Farrington Street to Highgate Street.
  • Cambridge Street (even side) from #424 Cambridge Street (near Denby Street) to Linden Street.
  • Wadsworth Street (even side) from Pratt Street to Hartley Terrace.

NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY

Fenway

Through Monday, Sept. 2, parking restrictions will be in place on Opera Place, both sides, from Huntington Avenue to Saint Stephen Street.

Parking restrictions will be in place on Sunday, Sept. 1, on the following streets:

  • Gainsborough Street, both sides, from Huntington Avenue to Hemenway Street.
  • Hemenway Street, even side, from Forsyth Way to Westland Avenue.
  • Saint Stephen Street, both sides, from Gainsborough Street to Massachusetts Avenue.
  • Symphony Road, both sides, from Hemenway Street to Saint Stephens Street.
  • Westland Avenue, both sides, from Hemenway Street to Massachusetts Avenue.

Parking restrictions will be in place through Monday, Sept. 2, on Hemenway Street (odd side, from Forsyth Way to Westland Avenue) and Saint Stephen Street (both sides, from Opera Place to Gainsborough Street).

Parking restrictions will be in place from Friday, Aug. 30-Monday, Sept. 2, on Forsyth Street, both sides, from Huntington Avenue to Hemenway Street.

Roxbury

Parking restrictions will be in place through Friday, Aug. 30, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Columbus Avenue’s odd side, from Burke Street to Melnea Cass Boulevard.

Parking restrictions will be in place Saturday, Aug. 31-Monday, Sept. 2, on Coventry Street, both sides, from Tremont to Columbus Avenue.

Parking restrictions will be in place Saturday, Aug. 31-Sunday, Sept. 1, from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Tremont Street’s odd side, from Burke Street to Coventry Street.

Parking restrictions will also be in place from Friday, Aug. 31 to Monday, Sept. 2, from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. on the following streets:

  • Davenport Street (both sides) from Tremont Street to Columbus Avenue.

Mission Hill

Parking restrictions will be in place on Sunday, Sept. 1, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the following streets:

  • Bickford Avenue, odd side, from Parker Street to Heath Street
  • Bucknam Street, odd side, from Lawn Street to Fisher Avenue
  • Burney Street, odd side, from Tremont Street to Delle Avenue
  • Calumet Street, both sides, from Darling Street to Hillside Street
  • Carmel Street, odd side, from Tremont Street to Delle Avenue
  • Cherokee Street, even side, from Pontiac Street to Hillside Street
  • Copenger Street, odd side, from Parker Hill Avenue to end
  • Darling Street, even side, from Calumet Street to Hillside Street
